Dr. Katie Nielson is the chief education officer at Voxy — an English eLearning company providing institutions with adaptive, dynamic curriculum and personalized instruction. Katie has led teams to design award-winning language courses for the U.S. Government, universities, and language training centers.
She holds a PhD in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Maryland College Park. Voxy launched the New Americans Initiative — collaborating with workforce boards, NGOs, and employers to offer accessible and effective English instruction at scale to underserved adults in the US, with a focus on recent immigrants.
