Over the past couple of years, remote and hybrid work have become more prevalent for obvious reasons. During this time, there has been a plethora of opinions and countless advice on what this means for learning and development, performance management, and other talent management initiatives.

Here’s the reality: When it comes to boosting competencies, addressing skill gaps, and improving performance, not all that much has changed. The backdrop for these activities may be different, but the core challenges associated with them remain largely the same.
