Over the years, research studies have shown time and again that the No. 1 reason people leave is because of their dissatisfaction with their manager or supervisor.

In addition to a good supervisor, there are four (4) more things that everyone wants in a job, no matter what industry they’re in or which generation they belong to:

  • Good co-workers;
  • A family-friendly workplace;
  • Opportunities to learn and grow;
  • Recognition (aka appreciation).
