The biggest story of 2020 will be the biggest story of 2021. Covid-19 has impacted every facet of work and life, and it will continue to do so. The question becomes: What have HR leaders learned over the past year that they can apply to the next year to steer their organizations toward recovery?
A lot, I hope. But I also know it’s all so overwhelming — which is why I have great respect for HR professionals on the frontlines trying to figure out things in a constantly changing environment. The pandemic has upended the way that organizations recruit candidates, manage performance, offer benefits, develop workers, handle employee relations, engage employees, and the list goes on and on.
As we enter a new year, there’s renewed hope that the crisis will ease.
